Description
Available for sale is a used Parker Freeze Dry custom production freeze dryer, Model 5-945-135, featuring an approximately 2,700-liter chamber and a nominal 453 kg ice condenser capacity.
Internal chamber dimensions are approximately 1,200 mm x 850 mm x 3,400 mm. Product handling is provided by five carts, each containing 27 heated shelves and having an approximate stated product capacity of 100 kg per cart. This provides 135 heated shelves across the five carts.
Two complete tray sets are included, consisting of 135 aluminum 18" x 26" trays per set, for 270 trays total.
Vacuum is provided by a dual-phase Busch system incorporating an RA0255 main vacuum pump and WV1500 booster pump. The vacuum system was overhauled in 2021 and serviced in 2023.
Process heat is managed through a programmable West ProVU heat control system with four West 6100+ controllers and bus control. The package also includes an outdoor cooling unit with refrigeration and hot-gas de-icing. The refrigeration compressor is reported to have undergone rebuild/overhaul work in 2022/2025.
