RoboSep (Catalog #20000) is a fully automated, walk-away immunomagnetic cell separator from STEMCELL Technologies. It automates column-free EasySep™ protocols (positive or negative selection) using a robotic pipettor, carousel, and disposable tips so users load samples/reagents and start the run with minimal hands-on time. Serial No. 1409, manufactured September 2013, made in Canada (Vancouver). Power: 100–120 / 220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz, 200 W; fuse 250 V T2.0AL. 

Key Features / Specifications

Capacity — Processes up to 4 samples simultaneously. Positive selection: up to 8 × 10⁹ total cells (4 × 2 × 10⁹). Negative selection capacity is lower per sample. Sample volume typically 250 µL–8.5 mL.

Column-free EasySep technology — Immunomagnetic labeling + magnet-based separation of virtually any cell type from many species/sample sources; no columns. Cells are immediately ready for downstream use.
Disposable tips / no cross-contamination — Robotic arm uses 1 mL and 5 mL disposable filter tips (pipetting range ~12.5 µL–5 mL). Each sample uses dedicated tips.
Walk-away automation — Integrated color touchscreen, customizable programs, automatic reagent addition, mixing, incubation timing, and magnetic separation. Load carousel (sample tubes, magnets, reagents, tip racks) and start.
Physical / electrical (this generation) — Benchtop unit with 4-quadrant carousel and “The Big Easy” EasySep magnets. Typical dimensions ~70.7 cm W × ~39–41 cm D × ~55–56 cm H (lid on); weight ~33–37 kg. Dual-voltage 50/60 Hz operation as labeled on the plate.
