Leica VT1200 S Vibratome
Overview
Appears unused!
The Leica VT1200 S is a fully automated vibrating blade microtome (vibratome) for high-quality sectioning of fresh or fixed tissue, especially in neuroscience applications such as patch-clamp work. It is designed to minimize vertical blade deflection so more viable cells remain on the section surface, and it supports both semi-automated and fully automated cutting for multi-user labs.
Key Features/Specifications
Sectioning frequency and amplitude: Fixed 85 Hz (±10%); amplitude adjustable 0–3 mm in 0.05 mm steps.
Speed and travel: Sectioning speed 0.01–1.5 mm/s; return speed 1.0–5 mm/s (0.5 mm/s increments); adjustable cutting window 0.5–45 mm.
Specimen capacity and motion: Max specimen size 33 × 50 × 20 mm; motorized vertical stroke 20 mm; 360° rotation and 0–10° specimen plate swivel; specimen retraction 0–100 µm (can be disabled).
Automation and usability: Semi- and fully automated modes with automatic feeding, retraction, and cutting window; stores settings for up to 8 users; magnetic specimen holders.
Blade and quality control: Blade holder for double-edged razor, injector, or sapphire blades; optional Vibrocheck device to measure and reduce vertical deflection below 1 µm; cooling via crushed ice or chiller.
Comes with our 90-day warranty.
