Sencore SCR224 SCR and Triac Test Adapter Accessory [New]

The Sencore SCR224 is an SCR and triac test adapter accessory for Sencore bench test instruments. Sencore (of Sioux Falls, SD) built a broad line of service-bench analyzers, and the SCR224 extends their component-testing capability to thyristors: it adapts the instrument's test leads to the gate, anode/MT2, and cathode/MT1 terminals of SCRs and triacs so these three-terminal devices can be checked for firing behavior and leakage.

The adapter connects via its three probe wires and is documented for use with Sencore analyzers such as the LC53 'Z Meter' and CA55 (leakage testing to the instruments' microamp ranges). By allowing an SCR or triac to be gated and measured under controlled conditions on the bench, it identifies shorted, open, leaky, and non-firing devices before they are returned to service in power supplies, motor drives, light dimmers, and deflection circuits.
