A refurbished Agilent 7697A Headspace, a headspace sampler. It samples the vapor above the sample for volatile analysis; it runs unattended sequences.
Every unit moves through the GenTech Certified process. What Agilent says about this platform
Agilent built the 7697A on the same architecture as its 7890 GC and 7693A automatic liquid sampler. An inert sample pathway carries the vapor to the GC without analyte loss or degradation. An automatic leak check confirms each vial is sealed before the run starts. The sampler stores up to 32 user-defined headspace methods, plus five presets, and up to 9 sequences. An operator can run it standalone from a chemical-resistant keypad or over LAN through OpenLab CDS ChemStation, OpenLab CDS EZChrom, or MSD ChemStation. Independent control of vial pressurization and column head pressure keeps sample transfer free of backpressure. Priority sample positions accommodate a late-arriving sample without breaking the sequence. Barometric pressure compensation holds results consistent across instruments and labs. The 7697A runs on hydrogen as a carrier gas. Sleep and Wake modes cut gas and power use between runs.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.
