What you are buying
A refurbished Agilent 1100 micro well plate autosampler. It draws small-volume samples from 96- or 384-well microplates and injects them onto the column for capillary LC methods.
Every unit moves through the GenTech Certified process. Solution Scientists disassemble and inspect each module, replace all consumables and degraded wear components, then tune and calibrate the instrument and verify performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals. The instrument ships with its verification report. A certified-refurbished system gives you that performance without the capital cost or the lead time of a new purchase.
What Agilent says about this platform
Agilent built the G1377A for capillary LC, with injection volumes from the nanoliter to microliter range. A micro Rheodyne valve, paired with an optimized needle seat and matched loop and seat capillaries, keeps sample dispersion low through the injection path. The sampler works with 96- or 384-well microplates. Injection volume is settable from 0.01 to 8 microliters. The unit weighs 15.5 kilograms and measures 200 by 345 by 440 millimeters. It communicates over CAN and RS-232C, with APG Remote as standard and optional external contact closures and BCD vial number output. Early Maintenance Feedback keeps an electronic record of maintenance and errors. Built-in leak detection and low voltages in maintenance areas support safe operation. The sampler module can pair with the G1330A thermostat over a control cable and turns both units on together, though each keeps its own power supply.
What each module does
Micro well plate injection
Draws a small-volume sample from a well in a 96- or 384-well microplate and injects it onto the column, with a settable range of 0.01 to 8 microliters.
Automated sequencing
Runs unattended sequences across an entire plate without an operator.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.
Labs that run this system
The 1100 HPLC is method-compatible across the techniques most regulated and research labs run every day. These are the application areas buyers ask about most.
Assay, Impurity and dissolution
The 1100 transfers cleanly into USP monograph assays, related-substance profiling, and dissolution testing. Quaternary blending simplifies mobile-phase transfer between labs.
EPA HPLC methods
Diode array detection supports EPA HPLC methods for contaminants and residues in water and soil, including PAHs, explosives, and carbamates.
Additives and vitamins
The system quantifies preservatives, sweeteners, organic acids, and fat-soluble vitamins at the throughput a production-support lab needs.
Cannabinoid potency
HPLC with UV detection is the reference technique for potency. The 1100 resolves the major cannabinoids for compliance and label-claim testing.
Botanical actives
Labs quantify polyphenols, flavonoids, and marker compounds in extracts and nutraceutical formulations across long, reproducible sequences.
Screening and drug monitoring
The 1100 runs HPLC-UV workflows for therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs-of-abuse screening, where method portability and uptime matter more than peak novelty.
Purity and additives
Industrial labs separate and quantify synthesis intermediates, polymer additives, and stabilizers for QC and release testing.
Four-solvent scouting
Agilent recommends the quaternary pump for method development. Blend up to four solvents to scout selectivity before you lock a final method.
Proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics
Many omics workflows use mass spectrometry for detection and rely on LC for separation. The 1100 serves as the front end feeding your MS or fraction collector.
