What Agilent says about this platform
Agilent built the G1312A around a two-channel, dual-piston in-series design, with two pump assemblies each capable of pressure to 400 bar. Electronically controlled active inlet valves need little maintenance at flow rates to 5 milliliters per minute. Floating pistons and a path-of-least-resistance seal design extend seal life. Pressure pulsation stays under 2 percent amplitude, typically under 1 percent, at 1 milliliter per minute of isopropanol above 1 megapascal. Gradient delay volume runs 180 to 480 microliters without a mixer, or 600 to 900 microliters with one, depending on back pressure. Composition holds to a range of 1 to 99 percent, or 5 microliters per minute per channel, whichever is greater. A handheld control module enters operating parameters, stores methods, and displays the pressure profile and diagnostics. Early Maintenance Feedback tracks seal wear and pumped volume against user-set limits. The pump communicates over CAN, GPIB, RS-232C, and APG Remote, with LAN available as an option.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.
