A refurbished Agilent G4208A Instant Pilot. It provides local control and status monitoring for a single 1200 Series module or an entire HPLC stack.
Every unit moves through the GenTech Certified process. What Agilent says about this platform
The G4208A provides local control and monitoring for a single HPLC module or an entire Agilent 1100, 1200, 1260, or 1290 Series system, excluding the 1220 Infinity II Compact LC. It handles automated sample preparation and injection, isocratic and gradient methods, multiple-method sequences, and basic diagnostics and maintenance, though it does not evaluate data itself. A color TFT display, 13.1 by 9.9 centimeters with 640 by 480 resolution, shows system status with a context-sensitive help system built in. Self-updating logbooks record operations and error events for later review. A USB port with factory-loaded software transfers methods, sequences, and logbooks to a USB memory stick, using sticks up to 2 gigabytes formatted as FAT-16. The unit connects over a CAN cable and mounts to the stack or a single module. It can also run handheld. It supports mixed system configurations across 1100, 1200, 1200 SL, 1260, and 1290 Series modules in the same stack.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.

Assay, Impurity and dissolution
The 1200 transfers cleanly into USP monograph assays, related-substance profiling, and dissolution testing. Quaternary blending simplifies mobile-phase transfer between labs.

Diode array detection supports EPA HPLC methods for contaminants and residues in water and soil, including PAHs, explosives, and carbamates.
