A refurbished Agilent 7800 ICP-MS. The nebulizer forms an aerosol, the argon plasma ionizes the elements, the interface samples the ions into vacuum, the collision cell removes interferences, and the quadrupole measures each element to trace levels.
Every unit moves through the GenTech Certified process. What Agilent says about this platform
Agilent introduced the 7800 as the successor to the 7700x, positioned alongside the 7900 to cover the range from routine to high-performance ICP-MS work. High Matrix Introduction comes standard on the 7800 and analyzes samples with up to 3 percent total dissolved solids without dilution. Helium collision mode removes polyatomic interferences under one consistent set of conditions. It removes the need for matrix- or analyte-specific reaction cell setups. A wide dynamic range orthogonal detector system measures major elements at hundreds or thousands of parts per million and trace analytes at single-digit parts per trillion in the same run. MassHunter software handles system setup, auto-optimization, and status monitoring, which Agilent built to speed routine method development.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.
