AAON ASM02201 RSMD Digital Compressor Module, R410A [New]

The AAON ASM02201 RSMD Refrigerant System Module (software SS1067) is an Orion Controls module for AAON units with Copeland digital scroll compressors and R-410A refrigerant. The RSMD does not stand alone - it must be used with VCCX2 and VCCX-IP series unit controllers - and it monitors and controls one or two refrigeration circuits of the HVAC unit. Up to four RSMDs can be connected per system.

The module modulates the compressors to satisfy the Suction Coil (Saturated) Temperature Setpoint, which the VCCX2 resets to maintain Supply Air Temperature in Cooling Mode. During Dehumidification Mode it drives the compressors to the coldest safe suction temperature for maximum moisture removal, and in Heat Pump applications it modulates and stages compressors to maintain the Supply Air Temperature Setpoint. It also modulates the condenser fan or water valve to maintain the Head Pressure Setpoint and provides compressor/condenser alarms and safeties.
