USED APV SR15S-L
Overview
Used APV Crepaco model SR15S-L sanitary multi-section plate heat exchanger. Originally designed as the heating, regenerative heat-recovery and cooling section of an HTST ice-cream mix pasteurization system. Rated for approximately 150 litres/hour product flow.
Approximately 32 sq. ft. effective heat-transfer area.
Originally was equipped with approximately 41 APV type SR1 plates. Plates are 0.6 mm thick 316 stainless steel with EPDM gaskets. Original process duty heats ice-cream mix from 100°F to 185°F, followed by regenerative cooling and final glycol cooling to 38°F. Designed for 4 GPM hot-water circulation and 12 GPM of 30% glycol.
Maximum operating pressure 150 psi. Product hold-up approximately 1.9 gallons. Fitted with 1.5" 316 stainless steel sanitary Tri-Clamp connections. Approximate overall dimensions 24-11/16" long × 16" wide × 42" high. Dry weight approximately 455 lb. Manufactured approximately 1992. APV work order No. 26559.
