The Shigiya GSU-40B is a flexible CNC universal grinder designed for manufacturers that need to complete multiple precision grinding operations on a single machine. Its combination of OD and ID grinding capability makes it especially well suited for complex components that benefit from reduced handling, fewer setups, and improved consistency between internal and external ground features.

With a 410 mm swing over the table, center-distance options of 470, 720, 970, and 1,470 mm, and a maximum workpiece weight of 150 kg, the GSU-40B provides the capacity and flexibility needed for a wide range of precision grinding applications.

The machine is equipped with two 7.5 kW OD wheel spindles and a 1.5 kW ID wheel spindle, allowing multiple grinding processes to be performed in one chucking. The OD grinding wheels measure Ø510 × 50 mm, while the ID grinding wheel range is Ø13–Ø50 × 12–25 mm.
