Hurricane Ditcher Original Side Arm, 42" 9-Paddle Impeller
Overview
The Hurricane Original Side-Arm is a tractor-mounted rotary ditcher for cleaning and rebuilding field ditches, terraces and waterways. Its side reach allows the tractor to travel beside the ditch while the impeller cuts and throws soil.
The enclosed oil-bath gearbox has external chain tensioning, and the impeller uses heat-treated paddle edges. Hurricane's 200 HP production example describes removing up to 12 inches of soil over one mile of ditch in an hour. Soil, moisture, slope and travel conditions affect the amount of work completed.
