The Danuser SM40 is a hydraulic hammer post driver with a 40-inch stroke, 300-pound standard hammer, universal skid-steer quick-attach plate, and 96-inch hoses. The free-fall hammer delivers consistent strikes for fence posts, guardrail, median dividers, tent stakes, T-posts, pipe fence, and railroad ties. Its 40-inch stroke and 300-pound hammer are designed for production post-driving work.

The SM40 can achieve full-stroke impact on every cycle or use short-stroke mode for precise depth control. No return springs or rebound cylinders to wear out.
300 lb Hammer, 500 lb with Weight Kit
A standard 300 lb hammer delivers up to 1,025 ft‑lbs of energy. Add the optional 200 lb weight kit to reach 500 lb and boost impact energy to 1,709 ft‑lbs. Ground-driven force reaches 82,000 lb when fully weighted.
Hydraulic Tilt (±20°) Option
An optional tilt attachment enables 20° of side-to-side angle, allowing straight post setting even on slopes and uneven terrain.
Optional Hydraulic Grapple
Add an optional hydraulic grapple to perform one-person post installation, from picking up the post to fully driving it, without leaving the cab.
Universal Quick-Attach Mount
Compatible with all major skid steers and compact loader brands. Requires a hydraulic circuit supplying 12–30 GPM at 1,500–3,000 PSI.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The hammer housing and mount steel are 3/4″-thick and built to withstand repeated heavy cyclic loads. Greasable pivot points and hoses employ industrial-grade fittings for durability.
