The Spectrolab LAVMB08B is a stationary Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) designed for high-precision chemical analysis of metal alloys. Operating on a 230 VAC (60 Hz) input with a power rating of 2500 VA, the system utilizes a Paschen-Runge optical mounting with a 750 mm focal length. Its analytical range spans 120 nm to 800 nm, enabling the detection of trace elements and critical gases including carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, and nitrogen. The excitation source is a digitally controlled spark generator reaching frequencies up to 1000 Hz.
To maintain optical transparency in the Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV) spectrum, the unit employs the UV-Plus sealed argon purification system, which eliminates the need for continuous vacuum pumping or high-flow purging of the optics. The detection architecture typically uses a hybrid of Photomultiplier Tubes (PMT) and CCD sensors to balance sensitivity with spectral flexibility. Physical requirements include a high-purity argon (99.999%) supply at an inlet pressure of 5 bar (72.5 PSI). The unit’s industrial-grade construction results in a footprint of approximately 1420 x 750 x 1100 mm and an operating weight between 400 kg and 520 kg.
