Eckold KF 340 Kraftformer
The Eckold KF 340 Kraftformer Shrinker Stretcher is one of the medium-sized machines from Eckold. The KF 340 is smaller in size that the KF 675 has a wide range of tools, making it the perfect all-rounder for any shop. With a throat depth of 13.4″ (340 mm), the KF 340 can easily handle very large and thick materials up to 12 gauge (.118″ / 3 mm) mild steel.
The Eckold KF 340 Kraftformer Shrinker Stretcher has an adjustable operating speed from 250 to 550 strokes per minute. The lower speeds are ideal for shrinking and straightening, while higher speeds are best suited for stretching, doming and planishing. The KF 340 has ample power to work steel up to .118″ and aluminum to .157″ thicknesses. The foot pedal adjusts the jaw pressure and also has an emergency stop function. The combination of different forming operations in one machine saves space and increases efficiency. As with all of the other Kraftformer models, the vast number of tools available makes the KF 340 the perfect “all-rounder” in any shop. Tooling options are available for shrinking, stretching, doming, planishing, flattening, straightening and more. The forming tools have a quick-change design which helps eliminates down time.
