Batching Procedure:
The Various Parts of the Plant Start is a Sequential Order as Follows:
1st : The Mixer
2nd : The Main Inclined Conveyor
3rd : The Drag-Out Conveyor
4th : The Aggregate, Cement and Water Feeds
The Aggregate is Loaded into all Four Bins. This process is carried out by a Loading Shovel. These Four Bins will Usually Contribute One Quarter Each of the Aggregate Feed to the Mixer. The Percentage Feed from Each Aggregate Bin can be Adjusted to Suit a Particular Mix Design in the instance where Two or More Different Types of Aggregate are being used. The Cement is Supplied from the Two 100-Tonne Silos by Two Independent Screw Conveyors into Two Independent weigh hoppers. The Weighed Cement is then Screwed up to the Mixer to Blend with the Aggregate before Blending with the Discharging Water into the Mixer. The Fully-Mixed CBGM Material is then Discharged into the Dump Truck beneath the Mixer Doors. The Plant Operator can Adjust the Speed of Batching by Simply Changing the Tonnes/Hr. Figure on the Panelview Unit. All Plant Feeders and Weighers Automatically Adjust to this Change of Batching Speed. The Plant Operator Receives Constant Read-Outs of the Moisture in the Aggregate from a Hydro-Probe Moisture Sensor. This Assists the Plant Operator in Ensuring the Delivery of a Consistent Product to the Paving Operations. The Plant Runs on a Continuous Basis and will Continue to Fill the Dump Trucks for as long as they are available.
