Overview
Wipe Film - Thin Film Evaporators

Manufacturer
Pfaudler
Pfaudler is a globally recognized manufacturer of advanced process equipment for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, specialty chemical, and industrial processing industries. Their wiped film and thin film evaporators are engineered for efficient heat transfer, gentle product handling, and continuous processing of heat-sensitive, viscous, and high-boiling materials.

Description
Available for sale is a used Pfaudler 316L stainless steel wiped film (thin film) evaporator featuring approximately 231 square feet of heat transfer surface. Designed for continuous evaporation, concentration, stripping, and solvent recovery, this unit provides excellent thermal efficiency while minimizing product residence time.
The evaporator features a top-entering agitator equipped with Chevron vanes and centrifugal carbon rotors, providing uniform thin-film distribution across the heated surface for maximum heat transfer and reduced product degradation. The rotor assembly is powered by a 25 HP drive motor. A spiral heating jacket allows efficient thermal control, while the large 40-inch welded vapor outlet promotes effective vapor separation.
Manufactured in 2003, this vessel includes National Board registration, Canadian Registration Number (CRN), and is mounted on four structural support lugs for installation into existing process systems.
