Overview
Wipe Film - Thin Film Evaporators

Manufacturer
Pfaudler
Pfaudler is a world-renowned manufacturer of premium process equipment serving the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, polymer, and specialty processing industries. Their wiped film evaporators are engineered for continuous processing, offering exceptional heat transfer efficiency and gentle handling of heat-sensitive, high-viscosity, and high-boiling products.

Description
Available for sale is a used Pfaudler 316L stainless steel wiped film (thin film) evaporator with approximately 140 square feet of heat transfer surface. Designed for continuous evaporation, concentration, solvent recovery, and stripping operations, this unit provides efficient processing while minimizing thermal degradation through short product residence time.
The evaporator features a top-entering rotor assembly equipped with Chevron vanes and centrifugal carbon rotors, ensuring uniform thin-film distribution over the heated cylinder for maximum heat transfer performance. The rotor is powered by a 15 HP motor, while the spiral heating jacket provides consistent thermal control. A 30-inch welded vapor outlet allows efficient vapor separation during operation.
Built in 2003, this evaporator includes National Board registration, Canadian Registration Number (CRN), and is supported by four heavy-duty mounting lugs for secure installation into existing processing systems.
