Powermatic Model 1200 variable-speed drill press (Serial 8-377) fitted with a Commander Mfg. Co. Adjustable Multi-Drill head (Model 5-00) and matching Multi-Tapper attachment (Model 500). The combined setup allows simultaneous multi-spindle drilling and tapping in a single stroke, cutting cycle time significantly compared to single-spindle drill presses performing the same operations sequentially. The Multi-Tapper includes an automatic limit switch and pilot-light stroke indicator to control tapping depth and return, reducing tap breakage and operator guesswork. The Powermatic base offers a wide dial-adjustable speed range (roughly 300–1700+ RPM) suited to a broad span of drill diameters and materials, per the embedded steel/cast-iron speed chart.
This equipment is understood to be in good working condition but has not been tested by this shop. Please see photos for cosmetic details.
