The 2022 Kawasaki RS020N is a high-speed, six-axis industrial robot from the R series, designed for diverse applications such as material handling, machine tending, deburring, welding, and cutting. It features a 20 kg maximum payload capacity, a 1,725 mm maximum reach, and a positional repeatability of ±0.04 mm. The robot arm weighs 230 kg and supports floor or ceiling mounting. Motion ranges for the axes are J1 ±180°, J2 +155° to -105°, J3 +150° to -163°, J4 ±270°, J5 ±145°, and J6 ±360°. Maximum motion speeds reach 190°/s for J1, 205°/s for J2, 210°/s for J3, 400°/s for J4, 360°/s for J5, and 610°/s for J6, with a maximum composite speed of 11,500 mm/s. The wrist moment ratings are 45 N·m for J4 and J5, and 29 N·m for J6. Environmental protection includes a standard IP65 rating for the base axes and IP65 for the wrist, with an optional IP67 wrist rating. The system is equipped with a Kawasaki E01 controller featuring CUBIC-S safety monitoring, a teach pendant, and integrated pneumatic lines and internal wiring for sensors and solenoid valves.
