USED 1990 SHARP 1440

The Sharp 1440 manual precision lathe features a 14 inch swing over bed, 8.62 inch swing over cross slide, and 40 inch distance between centers. The unit is equipped with a 3 HP motor and a D1-4 camlock spindle with a 1.5 inch bore. The headstock provides multiple spindle speeds up to 1,800 RPM. The machine includes a removable gap bed with extended swing capacity up to 20 inches. Construction consists of a cast iron base with hardened and ground bedways for rigidity. The quick-change gearbox supports a wide range of threading operations. The tailstock features 4.5 inch quill travel with MT3 taper.
