Constructed with a cast iron body (ASTM A126 class B) or ductile iron (ASTM A536), the valve features a flapper commonly molded from materials such as Buna-N, EPDM, or neoprene, typically affixed to a stainless steel hinge pin. This valve type is commonly equipped with flanged end connections conforming to ANSI B16.1 class 125 standards and is rated for a cold working pressure (CWP) of 175 PSI.
