The Hamamatsu H10960-01 is a compact photon counting assembly designed for single photon detection. It integrates an R10467 multi-alkali photomultiplier tube (PMT) featuring a multialkali photocathode and a borosilicate glass window. The active detection area measures 3 x 3 mm, enabling a wavelength detection range of 300 nm to 650 nm. This assembly provides a maximum count rate of 10 MCPS and exhibits a typical dark count of 50 CPS at 25 °C. The internal PMT achieves a gain of approximately 10^6. Output is provided as a TTL pulse, with a typical pulse width of 10 ns. Power requirements are +5 VDC and -5 VDC.
