THE 2014 GENESIS SYSTEM 3X IS A DUAL TRUNNION MIG WELDING CELL FEATURING TWO FANUC ARC MATE 100IC SIX-AXIS ARTICULATED ROBOTS. THIS SYSTEM IS BUILT ON A MOVEABLE FABRICATED BASE WITH A DUAL TRUNNION ASSEMBLY ON AN INDEXING CENTER COLUMN, CAPABLE OF 180-DEGREE ROTATION. THE TRUNNION CENTER DISTANCE IS ADJUSTABLE BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY 6 AND 8 FEET IN 2-INCH INCREMENTS, WITH AN APPROXIMATE SWING OF 49 INCHES AND A MAIN SWEEP INDEX TIME OF 4.5 TO 5 SECONDS. EACH STATION HAS A WEIGHT CAPACITY OF 2,204 LBS. THE INCLUDED ARC MATE 100IC ROBOTS FEATURE A 10 KG PAYLOAD, 1420 MM HORIZONTAL REACH, AND REPEATABILITY OF ±0.08 MM. EACH ROBOT HAS A MASS OF 130 KG AND SUPPORTS FLOOR, INVERTED, OR ANGLE MOUNTING. AXIS MOTION SPEEDS ARE J1 AT 210°/S, J2 AT 190°/S, J3 AT 210°/S, J4 AND J5 AT 400°/S, AND J6 AT 600°/S. MOTION RANGES ARE J1 ±360°, J2 ±250°, J3 ±447°, J4 ±380°, J5 +380°/-280°, AND J6 +720°/-540°. THE CELL IS EQUIPPED WITH FANUC R-30IB CONTROLLERS, COLOR TEACH PENDANTS, LINCOLN POWERWAVE I-400 WELDING POWER SUPPLIES, LINCOLN 4R220 WIRE FEEDERS, AND A TORCH TIP CLEANER. THE ROBOTS UTILIZE A SLIM WRIST DESIGN TO ACCESS SMALL OPENINGS AND ARE COMPATIBLE WITH VARIOUS WELDING AND POSITIONING EQUIPMENT.
