The Sartorius Fill-It™ Automated Filling System is a GMP-ready automated cryovial filling platform designed for the rapid, aseptic preparation of cell banks and strain banks. The system automates the decapping, filling, and recapping of cryovials using sterile single-use tubing sets, significantly reducing manual handling while improving fill consistency, cell viability, and process reproducibility.

Designed to fit inside standard biological safety cabinets, the Fill-It system processes 24-, 48-, or 96-vial racks in a single automated cycle. It is widely used in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, and vaccine manufacturing laboratories for preparing Master Cell Banks (MCB) and Working Cell Banks (WCB). Manufacture of the Fill-It instrument was discontinued at the end of 2024, although Sartorius continues to provide service, spare parts, tube sets, and accessories through 31 December 2031, subject to availability.
