The Faxitron MultiRad 160 is a fully shielded, self-contained cabinet X-ray irradiation system designed for precise and reproducible irradiation of cells, tissues, biological samples, and selected small-animal research applications. It was developed as a safer and lower-maintenance alternative to radioisotope irradiators while providing accurate dose delivery and excellent dose uniformity.

The system features touchscreen operation, automated warm-up procedures, integrated dosimetry, closed-loop cooling, and programmable irradiation protocols. Its compact footprint allows installation in most laboratory environments without requiring additional room shielding.
