The Barber-Colman No. 3 is a legendary, horizontal gear hobbing machine. It is engineered to cut high-precision spur gears, helical gears, splines, pinions, and worm gears. It utilizes an indexing mechanism and a rotating hob cutter to continuously generate gear teeth.
