Overview
The Iowa Precision 72” x .075” x 20,000# Multi-Blanking/Cut-To-Length Line, model Slear 2, offers robust cutting and precision capabilities. Designed to handle CRS, aluminum, galvanized, and pre-painted materials, it accommodates coil widths ranging from 6” to a maximum of 72” with a thickness range of .015” to .075”. The unit is built to manage a coil weight of up to 20,000 pounds, ensuring it can handle heavy-duty applications with ease. Operating with a line speed of 20 to 150 feet per minute, it facilitates efficient processing in left-to-right direction.
Key features include an entry coil car with powered lift and traverse, a mandrel-type uncoiler with powered expansion, and a loop control with a dancer arm. The SLEAR unit itself includes an extending blade peeler, slitter head, and powered pinch rolls, complemented by a flattener and down-cut shear on a traversing track. It's equipped with a manual adjustable stacker for precise handling and a powered side discharge conveyor with a 10,000-pound capacity.
Designed for efficiency, the line operates in a compact space requirement of 25’ x 45’. The system is controlled via a main operator console with an Allen Bradley touchscreen and PLC, ensuring seamless and precise operation. An array of spare parts, including tampers and shear blades, is provided to support maintenance and continuous reliable functioning.
