Per Cumberland factory literature, the Model 43 has a 16" x 43-1/2" throat opening, 43" knives, 2 stationary knives, and a rotor with 3 or 5 rotating knives. The factory rates the Model 43 for motors from 100 through 300 HP. Factory-listed speed is 900 RPM. Overall floor dimensions are 52" x 103" and shipping weight is 11,000 lbs. The main frame is a one-piece weldment. The rotor is machined from a one-piece high alloy steel forging and runs in self-aligning spherical roller bearings.
