Used Charlotte Model SD-40 type 316 stainless steel horizontal inline colloid mill designed for high shear emulsification, homogenization, dispersion, and particle size reduction applications. Engineered for pumpable slurry products, this industrial colloid mill is ideal for food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing operations.
Mounted on a common stainless steel base, the SD-40 is powered by a 40 HP high-speed motor operating at 3,565 RPM for aggressive shear processing and efficient particle reduction. The unit features an adjustable gap rotor system allowing precise control of product texture and consistency.
Designed for production rates up to approximately 1,200 gallons per hour depending on product characteristics, the mill can achieve particle reduction down to approximately 3–5 microns based on material type, application, and machine configuration.
The system includes threaded process fittings and a motor starter for simplified installation and operation.
