The 2015 Doosan Puma 800LM is a robust CNC lathe designed for precision and versatility in heavy-duty machining tasks. This machine features a 32-inch 4-jaw manual chuck, allowing it to handle substantial workpieces with ease. With a maximum swing over bed of 40.6 inches and a maximum turning diameter of 35.4 inches, it can efficiently manage large components. The machine boasts a generous 126-inch distance between centers, making it suitable for long pieces, further enhanced by the new RIP steady rest and tailstock for added stability.

The Puma 800LM is powered by a Fanuc Series 32i-Model B control, ensuring precise operation across its 3-axis configuration. The spindle is capable of speeds ranging from 3 to 750 RPM, driven by a powerful 60 HP motor, supporting a spindle nose of A2-20", and accommodating up to 12.6 inches in bar capacity. It also features a C-axis spindle rotation capable of 0.001-degree increments for precise milling capabilities, supported by a 15 HP rotary motor with speeds from 30 to 3,000 RPM. The 12-position bolt-on style turret ensures efficient tool changes.

With dimensions of 290 x 104 x 102 inches (extended to 355 inches with the chip conveyor in place) and a machine weight of 48,500 lbs., the Puma 800LM is designed for durability and stability. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a tailstock featuring a quill diameter of 6.3 inches, a quill travel of 5.9 inches, and accepts a #5 MT taper, making it suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications.
