The Molecular Devices StakMax Microplate Handling System is a benchtop automation solution designed to streamline microplate workflows and maximize laboratory throughput. It integrates seamlessly with SpectraMax® microplate readers, AquaMax® washers, and other compatible instruments to automate the loading, unloading, and restacking of microplates with minimal user intervention. The system can accommodate magazines holding 20, 40, or up to 50 SBS‑standard 96‑ or 384‑well plates and supports optional barcode scanning for efficient plate tracking. Controlled through SoftMax® Pro software, StakMax enables programmable automation, including plate shaking, temperature control, and protocol looping, while handling plates gently to prevent spills or sample loss. Its compact, reliable design makes it ideal for high-throughput screening, ELISA workflows, and other automated assay applications in research, pharmaceutical, and clinical laboratories.
