The Wave Biotech LOADCONT20 Loadcell 20/50 is a high-precision weight-sensing module designed for use with Wave Biotech SYSTEM 20/50 single-use bioreactor platforms. It provides continuous, real-time monitoring of cellbag weight, enabling automated process control for feeding, perfusion, harvesting, and volume management. This functionality is critical for maintaining consistent culture conditions and optimizing product yield in fed-batch and perfusion processes.
The load cell is installed beneath the disposable cellbag or tray, continuously detecting weight changes caused by media addition, consumption, or harvest removal. These measurements are transmitted to the system controller, allowing precise automation and reducing the need for manual intervention. By integrating weight-based feedback, laboratories can achieve higher reproducibility, better process consistency, and improved operational efficiency.
